If someone asked you if you would want to look like Lady Gaga along with her icon celebrity status and eccentricity, what would you say? MAC knows the power of a name and is willing to bet on it.

WWD reports that Lady Gaga’s new collaboration with MAC is part of the Viva Glam campaign for 2011. The last celebrity to collaborate on the Viva Glam for MAC campaign was Cyndi Lauper. The campaign has raised $190 million so far since it’s beginnings in 1994.

Next time I’m shopping for a new look, I’ll give something withLady Gaga’s stamp of approval a chance. When I saw the ad, shot by Nick Knight and styled by Nicola Formichetti, I was at least a bit tempted by Gaga’s large dramatic doe shaped eyes. Definitely a great vision with this advert: you make something who’d never been recognized as a traditional beauty with a look that will appeal to a wider audience.

If you’re a beauty junkie, Lady Gaga’s cosmetic deal with MAC is sure to end up on your shopping list.
